Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), on Tuesday, announced it has introduced a feature to its mobile application which will allow customers to send pictures of their water meter readings.
MWSC had ceased physical visits to take readings in April, following the emergence of a community spread of COVID-19 in Male’ City, which prompted a quick lockdown on the Greater Male’ Region.
The utility company has instructed customers to update the MWSC app to use the new feature.
Customers who need to submit meter reading will receive a notification to their mobile phones. They will need to take a clear picture of the meter reading, and submit it through the app by using the new button which will now appear on the home screen of the app.
Once the bill is prepared, customers will receive another notification.
Customers can also pay their bill via the app.
