HPA requests people that visited Lily and Ihsaan Fihaara on specific dates to report

Health Protection Agency has requested everyone that visited the Lily store in the market area and Ihsaan Fihaara on a specific date to report themselves.

In a news conference underway tonight, National Emergency Operations Center medical officer, Dr. Nazla Rafeeq requested those who visited the Lily store in the market area of Male’ City on April 13, 14 and 15 between 8:00 and 18:00 to report themselves to the authorities.

She also requested that everyone that visited the Ihsaan Fihaara in Maafannu on April 15, 16 and 17 also report themselves to the authorities.

HPA has previously announced that some employees of the Lily store in the market area as well as a delivery worker of BHM had tested positive for the virus. The BHM case is case number 53. Case 27 is a female staff of Lily. Other than case 27, 13 foreigners working in the Lily store had also tested positive for the virus.

Male’ City confirmed the first case of the virus on April 15. A lockdown and curfew of Male’ City have been in place since then. The number of positive cases in the Maldives has surged to 67, the majority of which, 47 cases are from the capital.
