Senior officials of private colleges in the Maldives have met with the Minister for Higher Education.
The meeting was held to address the difficulties faced in the operations of the colleges due to the safety measures in place regarding the Covid-19 virus pandemic in the Maldives.
The Private Higher Education Association of Maldives had sent a letter addressed to the Minister stating the challenges posed to the studies in the colleges which needed to be addressed quickly. The issues if not addressed will cause an irrecoverable damage to students and employees of these colleges.
The letter requested a meeting with the Minister in order to discuss these issues. Colleges, schools and universities across the country have been closed as part of government efforts to eradicate the virus from the Maldives.
