Govt. opens applications for scholarships from Bangladesh, Japan

The government has opened applications for scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students from Bangladesh and Japan.

A total of 14 scholarship opportunities have been offered by Bangladesh under the ‘SAARC Scholarship MBS/BDS Scholarship Program 2024-2025’. They include seven scholarships for bachelor’s degree, six scholarships for MBS and one scholarship for BDS.

Japan is offering scholarship opportunities to study Masters Degree courses at 24 universities under ‘Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program 2025’. Individuals applying for the scholarship must not hold dual citizenship, must have attained a Bachelor’s Degree three years before the date of application, must have at least three years of experience in the field related to the program and must not be an employee of the World Bank.

The deadline for applications for the ‘SAARC Scholarship MBS/BDS Scholarship Program 2024-2025’ is 12:00pm on January 14th.

The first application window for the 'Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program 2025' will run from January 13th to February 28th, while the second window will run from March 25th to March 23rd.
