Maldives Police Service has arranged so that complaints to the Service can be made via an online portal.

The move comes at a time when health professionals in the country are advising to maintain distance and discouraging public gatherings.

Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed made the announcement that complaints to the police can be made via an online portal today.

The portal was made for situations that were not emergencies and may not receive an immediate answer. It is still advised to contact Police via 119 in cases of emergency.

Messages of processing the complaint would still be issued by the Police when a complaint is lodged via the portal.
