Coral institute founded by Speaker Nasheed to hold a festival in Thulusdhoo

The Maldives Coral Institute (MCI), an organization founded by the former President and current Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed, has decided to stage a coral festival on the island of K. Thulusdhoo.

The festival where the public information sessions regarding corals, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 10:00 to 18:00.

MCI stated that the festival will enlighten the public on protecting corals and the surrounding environment. The festival will also have art, music and snorkeling events.

A special workshop is also scheduled for the day before the festival which will see discussions held regarding the different works of the institute.
