Gulnaz appointed Customer Service Director of BML

The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML), on Sunday, appointed a new Director of Customer Service.

The new appointee, Gulnaz Mahir, holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance from University of Bristol in UK, and has over 13 years of experience in the field of customer experience management, digital transformation and revenue management under her belt.

She most recently held the position of Head of Customer Care at Ooredoo Maldives.

According to BML’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer, the appointment was made as part of the bank’s efforts to drive forward its strategic focus on enhancing customer experience.

“The newly created position of Customer Service Director reflects the commitment of the Bank to improve service standards; and with her strength and experience in the field, I am confident Gulnaz will make a positive contribution to the bank,” he said.

BML is one of Maldives’ largest employers. A significant 99 percent of the bank’s staff base is Maldivian.
