MMPRC has taken part in the FITUR 2020 tourism fair in Madrid, Spain.
The fair which will be held until Sunday was taken part by tourist industry members in addition to MMPRC.
Two companies along with MMPRC made up a contingency of 71 members and will showcase the Maldives in 71.5 feet stand.
Discussion to market Maldives and meetings with other members of the industry from different countries will also be held in the fair. The Maldivian stand at the fair will comprise of quizzes and will award participants with prizes.
Maldivian culture and delicacies will also be showcased at the fair. Photography opportunities with Dhivehi Libaas (a traditional dress) and local foods such as Theluli Banbukeyo, Addu Bondi and Kulhi Kaajaa will also be available at the fair.
The Maldives received around 36,064 tourists from Spain in 2019, which is a 13.5 percent increase from 2018.
