Boat in Hulhumale’ remains tilted precariously

The landing craft at Hulhumale’ Jetty has been left tilting precariously, and is taking in water.

The landing craft, identified by MNDF as Ameen Carrier 2 had tilted while it was being loaded with cargo.

The incident was reported to the MNDF at 12:32 am this Tuesday.

MNDF reports that the landing craft remains tilted, and continues to take in water. They continue to use pumps to expel the water.

MNDF Male’ Area Coastguard Squadron has been working on rescuing the landing craft since the predawn hours of this Tuesday.
