The Parliament has voted in favor of delaying its recess by a week.

The Parliament’s regulation stated that its recess period will begin before the end of November, however, the Speaker of the Parliament stated that the recess period has been delayed until December 5, to finish up important work.

45 MPs voted in favor of delaying the recess period. Some of the unfinished work include the State Budget for 2020 and appointing judges to the vacant seats on the Supreme Court.

The previous recess period of the Parliament was also delayed and sessions were held out of the designated period.
