Maldivian to increase flights to Kulhudhuffushi

The National Airline, Maldivian is set to commence daily flights to H.Dh Kulhudhuffushi from the first of November.

The news was announced by Managing Director Mohamed Rizvi at an event yesterday to commence Maldivian flights between Hanimaadhoo and Cochin, India. Maldivian currently operates three flights to Kulhudhuffushi per week.

The flights between Cochin and the northern international airport of the country, H.Dh Hanimaadhoo are priced at USD 199 (MVR 3069). Maldivian has previously introduced three flights per week between the capital Male’ and Cochin priced at USD 150 (MVR 2313).

Managing Director Rizvi hailed the flights as a relief for people traveling for medical services and noted that Hanimaadhoo was the airport from which the highest number of people travel for medical purposes. The flights are also expected to boost tourism in the north of the country.
