State Trading Organization (STO) has announced that two units at the Male’ Harbor Food Court – which weren’t previously in service – are now up for lease.

STO says it is open for bid proposals by interested parties until September 18.

The two units up for lease are Unit 20 and Unit 26 – located towards Izzuddin Magu. Both units are 960 square feet in size.

The base rate for the lease is MVR 53 per square foot or its equivalent in US dollars.

STO says that bidding is open to all interested parties.

The party which wins the bid is required to pay a security deposit of three months within seven days of notification.

The lease period is five years, and the leasee will be required to start operations within one month he/she is granted the lease.

STO warns that parties which run eateries at the food court cannot bring any modifications to the premises without prior permission from the organization.

The chairs and tables used at the eateries are provided by STO itself. And the security deposit will be used to replace chairs and tables which are damaged.
