STELCO celebrates 70 years of service with a new logo

State Electric Company (STELCO) is celebrating its 70th anniversary and has unveiled a new logo to go along with the occasion.

The new logo was introduced by the Managing Director of STELCO Hassan Mughnee and the deputy directors of the company. Managing Director Mughnee stated that the company will remain committed in its work to provide power for Maldivians.

"The work that started with 14 kilowatts has now transformed into work with a total capacity of 160 megawatts," 

"We have also decided to change the direction from fossil fuel and diesel to solar energy.  We are also carrying out training for our employees and engineers," said Mughnee.

Mughnee also announced that the company's service was would be made available to the public through technological means. A smart metering service will be introduced for these plans, according to Mughnee.
