The supplementary budget sent to the parliament by Finance Ministry

Finance Ministry has sent the supplementary budget to the parliament today. Finance Ministry did not disclose any further details regarding the budget sent to the parliament. 

Finance Minister Ahmed Ameer had previously stated that the current government was functioning on a budget that was presented to the parliament by the previous administration an due to that reason, the current administration had been facing a lot of difficulties. The Minister also stated that it would be extremely difficult to carry on without supplementing the budget.

The parliament had passed a budget of MVR 30.2 billion for the year which is a deficit budget of MVR four billion.
