Both Hisaan and her husband secure seats at the Parliament

Former President Mohamed Nasheed’s lawyer, Hisaan Hussain and her husband Ibrahim Nazil have confirmed their seats in the Parliament.

Hisaan Hussain takes a huge lead in B. Thulhadhoo constituency with 62.63 percent of the votes.

Nazil has 69.65 percent of vote from Hithadhoo Dhekunu constituency, which confirms his seat in the 19th People’s Majilis of Maldives.

Hisaan was an active member in the Presidential campaign for the now President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. She was also an advocate for the opposition members of the former government and represented them in legal matters.
