April 7 is a public holiday

April 7, 2019 has been declared a public holiday. 

Spokesperson of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih tweeted that the President has declared April 7th a public holiday, on account of the Parliamentary Election held today. 

Department of judicial Administration of Maldives tweeted that all the Courts and judicial administrations will be closed on April 7th with the declaration of Mr. President. 

Election Commission reports that a total 78 percent of eligible voters voted in the Parliamentary Election 2019.

The voting poll was closed at 6 pm, local time.
