A man from G. A. Villingili has been arrested for taking pictures of the ballot paper.
Maldives Police Service reports that the 36 years old man was arrested at 10:11 am this Saturday.
He will be released after the Police take his statement.
Police said that, three reports have been filed to the Police regarding the ongoing election.
Polling will take place from 8 am to 4 pm, local time.
According to Elections Commission, 71,000 people from the 264,445 eligible voters have exercised their right to vote.
A total of 387 candidates from 87 constituencies participate this Parliamentary Election.
There are 501 ballot boxes stationed for polling.
