Oordeoo generates a profit of MVR 148M in Q4 of 2018

Telecom company, Oordeoo Maldives has announced a net profit of MVR 148 million in the last quarter of 2018.

Financial report published by Ooredoo for the year 2018 shows it earned an income of MVR 481 million in Q4. Its profit after tax and expense deductions is MVR 148 million.

Ooredoo paid a tax of MVR 26.9 million in Q4.

Oordeoo, during Q4, launched a number of digitalized services including Digital Resorts Portal, Amazon Prime Video, and Customized Tourism SIM Package.

It also tested its 5G network and Voice Over LTE network in Maldives, and expanded Ooredoo Supernet to 11 more Maldivian islands.

Ooredoo is currently preparing to hold its Annual General Meeting, which will be attended by any of its registered shareholders by the book closing date – 8 pm of February 21, 2019.

The company has announced it will distribute 88 percent of its annual net profit as divided – which comes down to the rate of MVR 3.22 per share.
