Laamu Kuna’handhoo Council Member Lirugaam Saeedh has sent his resignation letter to Elections Commission requesting to quit DRP.
The former footballer said that he had sent his resignation letter today at around 9.15 to DRP Office and Elections Commission.
DRP Media Coordinator, Ali Solih said that so far he had not received any letter from Liruqaam, requesting to quit the party.
Larey’ said that the reason for quitting DRP was that Kuna’ handhoo people had their visions in the islands prosperity and development, and thereby he himself remaining as a DRP member, was not approved by his people.
Larey’ also said that he believed that vision should also be alike Kuna’handhoo people, and since he respect his people, and to give that respect, only did he quit DRP.
Larey’ succeeded his seat as Kuna’handhoo Council member as an Independent member. Very recently did he join DRP.
He said that he had not decided upon which party to join after quitting DRP.
