Fuahmulah Airport will be inaugurated on the 3rd of November, says Adhil

The last-minute works of the Fuahmulah Airport will be finished and it will be officially inaugurated on the coming 3rd of November said the Transport Minister, Adhil Saleem, today.

In an interview given to Sun, Adhil said that the work on the Airport is going according to the schedule, and if the weather permits, airport operational work would commence on the 27th of this month.

Minister Adhil also stated that even though late night flights would not be operating at the early stage of the Airport functioning, after the official opening of the airport in November, he is sure of the fact that the runway would be fully finished, with all the required lights and acquired with the proper functioning resulting in successful landing at all times.

The finishing work currently done in the Airport is the surface concrete layering, fencing and the work on the terminal.

Transport Ministry is negotiating with different Airlines in order to start operating as soon as the airport is officially opened. Also parallel to the official opening, information is going around that special fares are been arranged by some Airlines for the occasion.
