Young man reported missing from Henbadhoo

Maldives Police Service has asked for assistance from the public in locating a young man reported missing from N. Henbadhoo.

The investigation into the disappearance of Mohamed Azmeer, 25, from Endherimaage in N. Henbadhoo is being run by the N. Manadhoo Police Station.

WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN FOLLOWING DEATH THREATS

Azmeer’s father, Ibrahim Adam reports to ‘Sun’ his son has been missing for three months.

“He was last seen here, on this island. His disappearance follows death threats directed against him by a group of individuals. The case [death threats] too has been reported to the police,” said Ibrahim Adam.

Ibrahim Adam says a canoe and a dinghy with an engine was reported stolen from the island the same time Azmeer disappeared. But the family has not received any information on the whereabouts of Azmeer for three months.
