Nasir appointed CEO of Maldives Polytechnic

Ahmed Nasir from G. Dh. Gadhdhoo has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Polytechnic – a State training institute for technical and vocational education.

President’s Office reports Nasir was appointed CEO of Maldives Polytechnic at deputy minister level.

Nasir has years of experience in the education and training sector.

He played a key role in establishing Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Villa College, and establishing the Maldives Media Institute.

Nasir also served as both assessor and council member of TVET (Technical Vocational Education Training) Authority, and as a part-time lecturer at Civil Service Training Institute, Villa College, Training Maldives, Maldives Institute of Technology, and Mandhu College.

He also previously headed the Maldives Media Institute.

Nasir has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Open University Malaysia.
