Police have informed that cans of beer have been removed from the sea near Westpark restaurant.
Police Media Official Hassan Haneef said that Police arrived at the scene following reports that cans of beer were floating in the area, and have removed 49 cans of Bintang beer from the sea.
Police are still active in the area, and said that it is not yet known where the cans are coming from.
“We see about six beer cans floating in the sea. One can has been removed. No idea where they are coming from. It is a bit suspicious that beer cans are floating in the sea, so the Police are working on it,” Haneef said.
The area is a popular marina for Safari dhonis, and also has heavy resort-speedboat traffic.
