A sack of cement fell from the top of a construction in Male’ City this Sunday morning, hitting and injuring a young girl.
The sack of cement was near empty, and but fell and hit the girl on the head, injuring her.
The construction site from which the sack of cement fell lays near SunFront Lighting.
Maldives Police Service says the incident was reported to the authority at 10:45 am, and is under investigation.
It is not clear from which floor the cement sack fell or the extent of the girl’s injuries.
The girl is being treated at the emergency room of Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
