Mahloof resigns from Parliament

Ahmed Mahloof has stepped down from his South Galolhu seat at the Parliament.

Mahloof announced his resignation this Saturday evening. He is expected to be appointed a member of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu)’s Cabinet as the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

Mahloof has been the representative of the South Galolhu constituency at the Parliament since 2009.

He thanked the constituents of South Galolhu for their support in his resignation announcement.

It has been confirmed the Solih’s administration will have 19 ministries.

Sources within the opposition coalition report to ‘Sun’ that Cabinet members have now been finalized after negotiations between the four opposition leaders.
