Acting CP Nawaz pays visit to President-elect Ibu

Acting Commissioner of Police Abdulla Nawaz has paid a visit to President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu).

Speaking to press, Spokesperson for Ibu, MP Mariya Ahmed Didi said Nawaz met with Ibu and congratulated him on his election victory.

During the press conference, Mariya noted that both the Commissioner of Police and Chief of Defense Force at the time met with former President Mohamed Nasheed to congratulate him on his election victory in 2008.

She also noted that Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe also called Ibu to congratulate him on winning the presidential election held in Maldives on September 23.

“The Prime Minister reiterated his support to Maldives,” said Mariya.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has also called Ibu to congratulate him on his election victory and invited him on an official visit to India.
