Explosion in Thilafushi injures 3

An explosion originating from a compressor used in K. Thilafushi has injured three people.

Maldives Police Service says the incident was reported to the authority at 9:34 am this Saturday.

Those injured in the explosion have been identified as two foreigners and one local.

MPS says all three injured in the explosion have been transported to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

Media official at IGMH has confirmed the three people are being treated at the hospital’s Emergency Room.

“Three people have been brought in and are being treated. They have some burns. But all three are stable,” said the media official.
