19th to be a holiday if the month of Hajj falls on the 12th

The Maldivian government has said that if the month of Hajj begins on 12 August this year, the 19 August would become a public holiday

Spokesperson of the President's Office,  Ibrahim Muaz Ali took to Twitter tonight to announce that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has decided that 19 August would be a public holiday if the month of Hajj falls on 12 August as stated on the calendar to give a continuous Eid holiday for the state employees. 

Since 19 August is a Sunday this year, the month of Hajj starting on 12 August would give a nine-day holiday to the public.
