Co-chair of the Commission of National Inquiry (CNI), Singaporean retired Judge GP Selvam has once again departed from Maldives on a private trip.

A government official said today that he departed on 3 August, and will return on 25 August.

The CNI’s investigations are ongoing, with interviews scheduled for this week.

Selvam also travelled to Singapore for personal reasons for about a week in July.

The CNI has announced that its report will be presented to the relevant authorities on 29 August, and published on 30 August.
