Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the completion of roads in Phase II of the Hulhumale’ Development Project.
HDC announced in a tweet last Sunday that the roads are now ready for use, and that the only remaining work is road marking and road signage.
The corporation noted in its tweet that the completion of the roads is one of the most important achievements of the Phase II of Hulhumale’ Development Project.
Construction of the roads were contracted to a joint venture between Mohan Mutha Exports and Ashoka Buildcon of India in 2015.
The MVR 40 million project was contracted to the company to complete within 18 months. But the project took longer, and the reason for the delay is unclear.
2,028,510.8 square kilometers of land was reclaimed for Phase II.
