Foreign Ministry: Maldivian on board crashed plane

Maldivian Foreign Ministry has said that Maldivian national was traveling on board the US-Bangla Airline plane that crashed during it's landing at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. 

The statement was made in a tweet sent out by the Ministry.  

  

The Maldivian, who was onboard the US-Bangla Airlines that crashed in Kathmandu, being treated at a hospital in Kathmandu for injuries is a female student studying to be a doctor.

 The Ministry's tweet said that a Maldivian on board the crashed plane is being treated at a hospital in Kathmandu. The extent of his injuries are unclear at this time. 

The Maldivian, who was onboard the US-Bangla Airlines that crashed in Kathmandu, being treated at a hospital in Kathmandu for injuries is the medical student Dr. Rizanaa Abdulla. 

Dr. Rizana is studying gynocology at the National Academy of Medial Sciences under Bir Hospital.

Sources say that she is being treated at the Kathmandu Medical College. A Maldivian at the side of Dr. Rizana told Sun Media that she is recovering with minor external injuries.
