Mua removed from post as Coordinator at Youth Ministry

Movie star Abdulla Muaz (Mua) has been dismissed from his post as the Executive Coordinator at National Center for the Arts (NCA) – run under Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Muaz has confirmed his dismissal to “Sun”.

Muaz alleges his dismissal is the response to his request to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to enforce the Supreme Court order to release political leaders.

He was dismissed from his post last Sunday.

Muaz has tweeted a picture of his letter of dismissal, signed by State Minister of Presidential Affairs at President’s Office, Mohamed Mujthaz.

The dismissal comes a few days after his resignation from his post as Head of NCA.
