President to deliver his address to the parliament on February 5

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Yameen is scheduled to deliver his address to the People’s Majlis for the year 2018 on February 5, at Dharubaaruge.

The Secretariat of the People’s Majlis announced this Monday that the function will be held at Dharubaaruge at 10 am. The office said the agenda for the day will be released on a later date.

The first session usually has nothing else in the agenda but the presidential address.

The first session of 2018 will begin with the seats of 12 constituencies empty after the 12 MPs representing the constituencies were deposed. The deposed MPs have filed a motion with the Supreme Court over the issue.
