A Bangladesh citizen involved in construction of fiber boats has been discovered dead in R. Alifushi.
President of Alifushi Council, Abdulla Riza reported to “Sun” that the 47-year-old man was discovered dead when fellow workers went to check on him after he failed to wake up this Tuesday morning.
Riza said the man showed no outward sign of injury, and that he appeared to have died suddenly in his sleep.
He said the man’s body is now under the custody of the police, and has been washed after the hospital completed its examination.
“The expatriate who died slept in the same room as other workers. They said the man told them to wake him up at dawn before he went to sleep last night, that he will make breakfast,” said Riza.
Police have confirmed they are looking into the death of a foreign worker in Alifushi. The police media official said the death of the man was reported to the authority at 6 am.
