Maldives join two major travel fairs abroad

Maldives have joined the largest travel fairs in Spain and India.

A total of 23 representatives from 15 companies working in the Maldivian travel sector joined the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company (MMPRC) at the Outbout Travel Travel (OTM) exhibition in Mumbai, India, from 18 - 20 January 2018.

MMPRC said that the priority at the OTM exhibition is to market Maldivian destinations that appeal to the Indian market.

Aside fromt the OTM in India, interntional tourism trade fair, FITUR 2018, began in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday with 38 representatives from 22 Maldivian companies from the tourism industry joining the MMPRC.

MMPRC would also be taking part in three other tourism exhibitions this month. They include the FESPO 2018 being held in Zurich, Switzerland, from 25-28 January, where 19 representatives from 12 companies would be joining the MMPRC, EMITT Tourism Fair 2018 hosted in Istanbul, Turkey, also in the same duration along with the Boot Travel Fair, held from 20-28 of the month in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Aside from the aforementioned five travel and tourism fairs, the MMPRC has joined ten other exhibitions this year.
