Deposed MPs request meeting with Supreme Court judges

Deposed parliamentarians arrived at Supreme Court this Sunday, requesting meeting with the court’s judges.

Election Commission had deposed nine MPs so far.

Speaking to media after exiting from the Supreme Court, deposed MP Mohamed Mustafa said they had requested a meeting with the judges to discuss the progress of the case they filed with the court.

Mutafa said the Supreme Court said it will provide an answer to their request, and that the response will determine the next steps for the deposed MPs.

Those who attended the Supreme Court with the request this Sunday includes deposed Vilingili MP Saud Hussain, deposed Thulusdhoo MP Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim and deposed Dhidhdhoo MP Abdul Latheef Abdulla.
