First Lady begins visit to parts of Alifu Alifu atoll

The First Lady, Fathimath Ibrahim, has started visit to some of the islands of the Alifu Alifu atoll.

The three-day visit to the atoll is part of the her social campaign "Enme Gaathun" (lit. Closest) to observe the situation of the islands.

First stop on the visit to the atoll this morning was Thoddoo where she received a warm welcome. The First Lady is set to visited Rasdhoo and Bodufulhadhoo today as well.

Aside from the three islands, the First Lady will also visit Mathiveri, Ferudhoo, Maalhos and Himendhoo.
