EC hesitant to respond on by-elections

Elections Commission (EC) has hesitated to answer the questions from the media regarding the by-elections of the vacant seats at the Parliament.

So far nine MPs has lost their parliamentarian seat after leaving the political party at which they were elected by.

The due date for the by-elections have now passed but the EC has not said anything regarding the elections.

Repeated attempts to contact the Vice President of the EC, Amjad Mustafa, has been unsuccessful as he is not answering any calls or responding to messages.

The oppositions have criticized the EC for not holding the by-elections.
