Human bones found on Fuvahmulah beach

Human remains have been found on the beach of the Fuvahmulah City in Gnaviyani atoll.

The remains were discovered by a group of young people who went to the beach today. Talking to Sun Media, a person who was at the scene said that police are now at the scene.

Photos received by Sun Media show what looks like a skill and teeth of the a human.

Mayor of Fuvahmulah City, Abdullah Falaah Shareef told Sun Media that discovering human remains in the area is normal.

He said that the site used to be a burial site in the old days and the current tide gives away the soil exposing some skeletons.

So far there have been no word from the police regarding the discovery.
