Motorcycle falls into hole dug on the road injuring two

Two people have been injured after a motorcycle falls into a hole dug on the side of the road near Male' North Harbor.

Sources say that the incident took place this morning, when a young woman driving with a man fell into a hole dug in front of the entrance to the North Harbor.

The hole, about four feet deep, was dug to install a pipe. A witness to the incident said that the hole had a cover on one side and the motorcycle fell on the side without the covering.

The witness said that both suffered minor injuries such as scrapes and bruises and did not sustain any major injuries. And the motorcycle also had some damages.

Police Media Official told Sun Media that they have received a report of a motorcycle driven on Boduthakurufaanu Magu falling into a hole dug near the North Harbor. No further details were disclosed by the police.
