President inaugurates MVR 61M Holhudhoo Harbor

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated the harbor developed by the government in N. Holhudhoo.

President Yameen inaugurated the harbor during his visit to Holhudhoo this Sunday afternoon.

The Holhudhoo Harbor is 900-foot long and 200-foot wide. Construction of the harbor was contracted to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

MTCC reports the harbor in Holhudhoo was built at the cost of MVR 61 million. It said the project involved paving the area around the harbor and installing light fixtures.

The President, in his current tour is scheduled to visit islands in N. Atoll, B. Atoll, and Lh. Hinnavaru.

He is accompanied on the tour by leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, deputy leader of MDA Ahmed Mauroof, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and a number of parliamentarians.
