Minister Zameer praises Pick Maldives photobook

Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer has praised the Pick Maldives Picture Storybook or photobook – a product of the Pick Maldives initiative.

Pick Maldives is a business which markets and promotes Maldivian tourism using creative and innovative methods. It uses the B2C (Business to Customer) marketing model, opting to directly reach its customers.

The Pick Maldives photobook contains pictures of Maldivian tourist resorts and reviews from tourists. It is due to be released in Germany in March, 2018.

Minister of Tourism, Moosa Zameer met with the founder of the Pick Maldives initiative, Riaayath Abdul Majeed this Sunday.

During the meeting, Minister Zameer praised the Pick Maldives initiative and said it was a valuable asset to the Maldivian tourism industry. He pledged the ministry’s full support and assistance to the initiative.

Speaking to “Sun” after the meeting with Minister Zameer, Riaayath said he was grateful for the minister’s acknowledgement of the Pick Maldives initiative – something, which he said he started despite his busy schedule.

He also commended the Ministry of Tourism and Minister Zameer’s efforts to develop the Maldivian tourism industry despite various challenges.

He said Zameer’s acknowledgement was an added value to the Pick Maldives photobook.

The Pick Maldives initiative, along with gaining the praise of Minister Zameer, has won the trust of major Maldivian companies within the short period of time since it was founded.

DHL, Public Service Media (PSM)’s Maldives TV, M7 Printers and Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has already signed up as Premium Partners of the Pick Maldives photobook.

Sun Media Group’s Sun Online and Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has signed up as supporting partners.

And major resorts and hotel brands operating in Maldives have announced their commitment to the photobook, says Riaayath.

SOUVENIR QUALITY; WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION

The photobook will be printed in souvenir quality and distributed worldwide using three methods.

Premium distribution of the photobook will include direct distribution to 2,0000 influential international bloggers, influential in social media users, VIP travel journalists and celebrities.

The photobooks will be couriered to them by DHL.

In addition, photobooks will also be distributed at international travel fairs open to the public; and via Pick Maldives ambassadors selected from 20 countries worldwide.
