President embarks on trip to three northern atolls

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has embarked on an official tour of three northern atolls.

President Yameen departed for his tour of islands in the N. Atoll, Lh. Hivvavaru, and islands in the B. Atoll this Sunday morning.

President’s Office reports the President is scheduled to stop first at N. Maalhendhoo; where he will inaugurate the island’s harbor and mosque. He will then travel to N. Hen’badhoo where he will inaugurate the construction of a sanitation system on the island. He will next travel to N. Holhudhoo and N. Velidhoo where he will inaugurate harbors.

The President will then travel to Lh. Hinnavaru where he will inaugurate services for clean drinking water.

He will next travel to B. Kendhoo where he will open the island’s harbor and inaugurate construction of sanitation facilities.

The President will also visit B. Eydhafushi where he will take part in a ceremony to mark the completion of the land reclamation project and beach protection project in the island.

He will lastly travel to B. Thulhaadhoo where he will inaugurate the harbor and celebrate the completion of the beach protection project in the island.
