Company ordered to pay over USD 98,000 in TGST

TLM Private Limited has been ordered to pay USD 98,492.18 in unpaid Tourist Goods and Services Tax to the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

The order was issued last Thursday after Civil Court determined the company owned the amount as unpaid tax to the State.

The court also ordered TLM to pay an additional USD 43,000 in fines for the unpaid tax.

The total figure TLM is required to pay MIRA amounts to over USD 1.5 million. The court ordered the company complete the payment within two months.

The verdict against TLM was issued in absentia.
