Search continues for Chinese diver missing from Centara Grand Resort

Authorities are still searching for the Chinese citizen who went missing after going free diving near A. Dh. Centara Grand Resort last Tuesday evening, says Maldives National Defense Force.

The Chinese man who went missing works as a diving instructor at the resort’s dive center.

MNDF’s information officer Captain Ibrahim Azim reports Coastguard divers are still searching for the missing diving instructor. He said the authorities were also looking at sea surveys of the area for any sign of the man.

The case of the missing diving instructor was reported to MNDF at 5:34 pm last Tuesday.

MNDF reports the missing diving instructor was last seen wearing a dark blue Scubapro dive suit. And is light skinned and five-feet tall.
