MFDA bans a batch of Life mineral water bottles

Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has issued a ban on a batch of Life mineral water bottles – produced by Happy Market.

MFDA issued the ban on batch 447, warning against its sale in a statement this Monday.

The authority said the ban was issued as black fragments have been found inside some of the water bottles from the batch.

MFDA noted that any such substance inside a sealed mineral water bottles violated the standards issued by World Health Organization (WHO), MFDA and the international food code (codex).
