Italian company CAE has been contracted to install automatic weather stations in 25 islands where the National Meteorological Center does not have an office.
The MVR 11.87 million project is being funded by the free aid of the Italian government. At a special ceremony held at the Environment Ministry today, the contract agreement was signed by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Thoriq Ibrahim and the Vice President of CAE, Giancarlo Maria Pedrini.
