15 employees fired to reduce V Media expenses

V Media has fired 15 of their employees in an effort to cut cost and restructure the company.

The founder of V Media is the Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Qasim Ibrahim. Operated under the Island Broadcasting Company, V Media includes VTV, VFM, Vonline and a weekly magazine along with Miadhu News. All five media outlets are operated by 72 employees.

Chief Operating Officer of V Media, Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) said that they were forced to fire 15 employees at once to cut costs and that V Media is being affected by ripples at Island Broadcasting Company.

Mondhu said that the employees being let go are being done so through the set procedure with the allocated allowances.

V Media has started reducing costs at a time where the accounts of the Villa Shipping and Trading.
