Embassy: 11 Maldivian residencies damaged in Sri Lanka

The Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka has said that 11 residences where Maldivians were living in Sri Lanka were damaged due to the cyclonic storm affecting the country.

Media Official of the Maldivian Embassy, Mazin, told Sun Media that so far 11 residences have been reported the damages they sustained and the embassy is providing aid to those residences.

He said that the heavy rains have now died down but more clouds appear to be forming.

Although damages to residences have been reported, there have been no reports of a Maldivian national being injured.
