Alcohol loaded on pickup truck in Male' seized

Maldives Police Service has seized a large number of alcohol bottles loaded on a pickup truck in Male City.

Witnesses told Sun Media that pickup truck was loaded and on the way when the police suddenly appeared and stopped it.

Photos received to Sun Media show an inspection of a pickup truck with a number of cardboard boxes loaded on to.

Police said that a drug operation is ongoing and so no comment can be made at this time.
